The Jockey Club T.I.P. will present awards in conjunction with select United States Hunter Jumper Association programs.

Competition Awards – A High Point Thoroughbred Award will be presented to the highest-scoring T.I.P.-registered Thoroughbred competing at the following Championship Events (regardless of section or division):

  • USHJA 1.00/1.05m Junior/Amateur Zone Jumper Championships
  • USHJA Amateur Hunter Championships

Year-End Outreach Competition Zone Awards - A High Point Thoroughbred Award will also be presented to the top two Thoroughbreds in each Zone participating in Outreach Competitions annually.

Eligibility: For purposes of eligibility for T.I.P./USHJA awards, a "Thoroughbred" is defined as any horse that has been registered with The Jockey Club (TJC) or a foreign Thoroughbred stud book recognized by The Jockey Club. An unregistered horse is not eligible for T.I.P.

Required Participation Form: To participate in the T.I.P./USHJA awards, riders or owners MUST complete the Thoroughbred Award Registration Form (USHJA/T.I.P. Incentive Programs) linked below no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of the competition for Championships and by November 30 of each year for the Outreach Awards. Horses without a form on file by the posted dates are not eligible for the awards. Horses without T.I.P. numbers and unregistered Thoroughbreds are not eligible for the awards.

The Prizes on the Line:

  • Championships: Cash Award of $1,000 plus prize and ribbon for high point Thoroughbred
  • Year-End Outreach Competition Zone Awards: prizes and ribbons for high point and reserve
